WebView Developer

Job Overview:

The WebView Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining hybrid mobile applications that utilize WebView to render web content within native app frameworks. This role involves working with both web and mobile development technologies to create seamless and high-performing applications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Hybrid App Development:

- Develop and maintain hybrid mobile applications using WebView.

- Integrate web content with native mobile app frameworks.

2. Code Management:

- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code for both web and mobile platforms.

- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.

3. Collaboration:

- Work closely with web developers to ensure seamless integration of web content.

- Collaborate with mobile developers to integrate WebView components into native applications.

- Communicate with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless user experience.

4. Testing and Debugging:

- Conduct testing across different devices and platforms to ensure compatibility and performance.

- Debug and resolve issues related to WebView content rendering and interaction.

5. Documentation:

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, configurations, and development processes.

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation to assist in the software development process.

6. User Interface Design:

- Ensure that web content adheres to mobile UI design principles and provides a consistent user experience.

- Optimize web content for performance and usability within WebView.

7. Performance Optimization:

- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in both web and mobile components.

- Implement caching and other optimization techniques to improve application speed and responsiveness.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in web development and mobile application development.

- Proven experience with hybrid app development using WebView or similar technologies.

• Skills:

- Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

- Proficiency in mobile development frameworks (e.g., React Native, Ionic, Cordova).

- Experience with native mobile development (iOS/Android) is a plus.

- Understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with integrating WebView in both iOS and Android applications.

• Knowledge of backend technologies and RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

• Certification in relevant areas (e.g., Certified Mobile Application Developer).
