Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
Handle monthly accounting functions for several accounts, typically straightforward and
somewhat routine accounting processes.
• Review of daily or monthly reports/journal entries
• Post monthly recurring entries
• Review Monthly reconciliation of asset & liability accounts

Systems and Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and procedures to enhance
efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with IT and system development teams to identify and document the accounting
requirements
- Establish processes and controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within
the new system, including validation checks and data reconciliation procedures.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Participate in system testing phases, including user acceptance
testing (UAT), to verify that the accounting functionalities perform as expected and identify
any issues or discrepancies.
- Financial reporting: prepare and present accurate reports to senior management,
stakeholders, and regulatory authorities
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant
laws, regulations, and standards
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the insurance accounting team, fostering a
culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Support other corporate transactions.

Requirements
Experience
• Minimum five years of professional experience in related fields.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management position.
• Experience in Accounting/Auditing in Finance Company/Bank/Insurance Company
• Demonstrated knowledge of various financial functions, procedures, and processes.
Ideally, it would be from a finance company, bank, or insurance company (desirable).
• Knowledge of Financial Regulations: Understanding relevant financial regulations and
compliance requirements, including those specific to insurance brokerage.
• Experience in using AS400 (preferred)

Education
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is typically required. A master’s
degree or MBA in finance or accounting can be an added advantage.
Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) can enhance credibility
and demonstrate expertise

Knowledge, Skills, and Languages
• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
• Service mindset, together with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide authoritative advice.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• In-depth understanding of financial and organizational/business systems and
processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues and
develop solutions
• Ability to work within a high-volume transaction.
• Self-motivated and proactive achiever.
• Able to uphold ethical standards and values and to act with integrity.
